Welcome to The Parkview, Suite 109!
Welcome to Lakewood, Ohio, we are thrilled you chose us! Here are a few tips to help you have a memorable and comfortable stay:
The WiFi is under “theparkview”. The password is 17545madison. If for any reason the WiFi isn’t working, see the troubleshooting guide in following pages.
When you leave the suite, hit the button with the lock on it to lock the door.
Don’t miss the courtyard just out your door to the right, before you head down the steps to the laundry room! Please - NO SMOKING in your suite - you can smoke outdoors in the courtyard or the front or back of the building.
There is coin laundry available (detergent/bleach are available under the kitchen sink) - if you exit your unit, take an immediate left and go down the stairs - you can’t miss it. There is a coin changer as well.
We have several channels available on the TV, you’ll find the remote in the nightstand on the right.
Please do not leave candles lit if you are not present - there is a fire extinguisher under the sink (that we hope never has to be used!)
We provide coffee, towels, linens, fresh sponge and kitchen towels, hand and dish soap, laundry detergent/bleach, and a full kitchen with napkins and paper towels, salt/pepper, & kitchen towels. We do not have body soap/shampoo/conditioner. There is a hair dryer and an iron/iron board available in the closet. See troubleshooting guide for coffeemaker instructions.
We will provide enough towels for your stay (2 towels sets for every 2-3 nights) - please put used towels in the basket in the closet.
Please check out by 11am on your day of check out and make sure the door is locked.

Our favorite things to do around Lakewood!
**Note - Lakewood is known to be a bit younger crowd after 9pm, and Rocky River is known for a slightly older crowd (mid 30’s and up). You can walk to the following in warmer weather (or short Uber if it is cold out!)
These are the favorites within a few minutes away:
Around the Corner- Lakewood (walk north on Riverside until you hit Detroit-turn left and then follow Detroit as it turns right, it is about a .5 mile walk)
Riverwood-Lakewood-you’ll see this following directions above, it’s as you hit Detroit
Short Uber away (if you are feeling energetic, you can also keep following Detroit across the bridge and you’ll run into this, about .8 miles from the Parkview):
Olde River Shopping Center-Rocky River- there is a number of great bars and restaurants here. My favorite is Tartine Bistro or Rocky River Wine Bar for wine, also recommended for dinner (see below)
A little farther west from Olde River Shopping, and you can definitely walk to these from there, are Burntwood Tavern, Beachcliff Tavern, and then just a little farther walk (only .2 miles from Olde River Shopping Center) you’ll get to Wine Bar Rocky River, Tommy’s, and Market.
See Tartine Bistro/Rocky River Wine Bar above..
Georgetown or Sarita-Lakewood
Breakfast-Rocky River- Sweet Melissa’s, Market (Sundays), or First Watch.
Lakewood- West End for Sunday Brunch, Barrio or Buckeye Beer Engine for great bar food and drinks.
There is a Rite Aid a few minutes drive east on Madison.
Try Heinen’s or Whole Foods in Rocky River.
Just a few buildings away is a “Convenience Store” with the basics.
Detroit Rd in Lakewood, Simone’s Beverage.
Try Olde River Shopping Area as well as Beachcliff Market Square in Rocky River. For antiques shopping, go to Detroit in Lakewood where you’ll find store after store you can browse in.
Inner Bliss in Rocky River, or Puma Yoga or Pink Lotus in Lakewood.
Right across the road is the Metroparks, the easiest way to access it walk north on Riverside and turn left on Detroit, you’ll see the entrance to the park on your left. Plenty of trails!
There is a fire extinguisher under the sink. Call 911 for emergencies.
If the WiFi signal isn’t working, please contact Chris at the number listed on the first section.
Emergency exits - there are two doors in your suite - the door you entered as well as a second door in the kitchen. You can easily exit to the back of the building if you exit your suite, go right through the door on your left, and you will see the exit a few steps away on your left to the backlot.
If the kitchen clock ticking is bothering you, feel free to remove it off the wall and take out the battery.
Heating/cooling - please do not touch the radiator as it can be hot in the winter. Do not put anything against radiators. Although you can’t change the temperature in the room, we do provide a small heater in the closet behind the iron if the room is too cold, or a fan if it is too hot. You can also open the windows to regulate temperature.
Occasionally, because this is a very old building, there are changes in water temperature or pressure during your shower. Unfortunately, this is “normal” in old buildings. It doesn’t happen too often, and is generally quickly self-correcting.
Coffeemaker - there is a regular drip coffee maker on the left, this doesn’t need a filter, and works just like a regular coffee maker. To use the espresso option on the right, grind the beans in the provided grinder to a powder.
We will provide 2 towels per person every 2-3 nights, there is bleach and detergent under the kitchen sink if you need to wash your towels or linens more often for any reason.
